This session will provide a review of recent literature comparing outcomes with eat-sleep-console and traditional NOW/NAS management and discuss practical barriers to implementation. It will also evaluate treatment options and considerations for non-opioid NAS or NOWS with concomitant drug use. Participants will gain an understanding of principles of iatrogenic withdrawal in the NICU, including a discussion of scoring tools and conversions from intravenous to enteral agents for opioid infusions, benzodiazepine infusions, and dexmedetomidine infusions.
