Dr. Stoever currently resides in Portland Oregon and is a graduate of both Columbia University and Seton Hall University where he completed his MSN in Neonatology and DNP in 2009 and 2020 respectively.

His NICU career has spanned nearly 20 years, including 15 as an NNP in both clinical and leadership roles. He currently works at the bedside as a clinical NNP in the role of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine.

He enjoys mentoring novice and experienced NNPs, as well as residents and fellows in the NICU, particularly in the care of the critically ill neonate with congenital heart disease. His current QI focus is streamlining documentation and workflow optimization for NICU advanced practice providers to reduce time spent documenting and increase time spent with patients and families.

He also serves as a guest reviewer for manuscripts submitted to Advances in Neonatal Care, and as a FANNP Member-at Large, oversees the FANNP Preceptor Repository, matching students in need of clinical placement contacts with volunteer NNP preceptors within the FANNP membership.
